What is the Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ)?
The ASQ is a trustworthy and valid screening tool created by researchers. This screening tool is easy to read and complete. It is a checklist meant to assess and follow children’s development from 2 to 60 months of age. The first screening tool (ASQ-3) focuses on general development. The second screening tool (ASQ:SE) focuses on social and emotional development. Both checklists are available in both English and Spanish. What can I expect?
Each screening takes about 10 minutes to complete. The screening is submitted online. A specialist then scores the screening and sends out a personalized email. The email will have the results along with suggestions for activities, supports and resources.
